Overview

HumanDetector AI is a security camera app that runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. We do not have servers.

Data That Stays on Your Device

• Camera images and clips: Photos are processed on-device using AI (YOLO26n) to detect humans. Photos are saved to your device gallery only. If clip recording is enabled, short video clips (~10 seconds each) are also saved to your phone's local storage (Movies/HumanDetectorAI/). Nothing is transmitted unless you configure Telegram.
• App settings: Configuration (device name, alarm preferences, PIN hash) is stored locally in SharedPreferences. Never transmitted.
• Accelerometer data: Used only for theft/grab detection. Processed in real time on-device. Never stored or transmitted.

Data You Choose to Send

• Telegram integration: If you configure a Telegram bot, the app sends detection photos and status messages to your own Telegram chat using your own bot token and chat ID. This communication is between your device and Telegram's servers. The developer has no access to your bot token, chat ID, or any messages.

Data We Collect

None. We do not collect any data. We do not have analytics, tracking, crash reporting, or any server infrastructure. The app works entirely offline (except for the optional Telegram feature that you configure yourself).

Permissions Used

• Camera: Required for human detection (core functionality).
• Microphone: Required for audio capture in pre-roll video clips and for live audio in Viewer Mode. Audio is stored locally in clips or streamed directly to your viewer phone — never to a third-party server.
• Internet: Used for Telegram communication (if configured) and for Viewer Mode, which connects your phones via the Tailscale private network. No data is sent to the developer's servers.
• Foreground service: Keeps the app running in the background for continuous monitoring.
• Wake lock: Prevents the screen from turning off during monitoring.

Third-Party Services

• Telegram Bot API: Used only if you configure it. Subject to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing: If you purchase premium features, the transaction is handled by Google Play. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Tailscale: If you use Viewer Mode, Tailscale creates an encrypted private network between your devices. Traffic is end-to-end encrypted; in some network conditions it may be relayed through Tailscale's infrastructure. Subject to Tailscale's Privacy Policy.

No other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics are used.

AI Processing

All AI processing (YOLO26n human detection, MediaPipe face verification) runs entirely on your device using LiteRT (formerly TensorFlow Lite). No images are sent to any cloud AI service.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if we add new features. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
